 Well done to all the sailors who took part in the 2009 Youth Trophy. After some intensive training on the Saturday Morning the racing started with 4 races held on Saturday afternoon. Katrina Curtis made her intentions or retaining her title clear with a good set of results but nipping at her heels were Sarah, Michael & Matt. So with 6 races planned for Sunday it was all to play for overnight. Into Sunday and the wind had increased which tested everyone's ability, a capsize could make all the difference in the results with the racing so tight. Katrina put in a consistent series over the day to take the overall win and add her name to the trophy for a second year. Overall all the sailors must be applauded for racing through some difficult gusty conditions on the Sunday which would have seen our "grown up" club sailors make mistakes and also for all showing a massive improvement in their racing over the weekend.
