Eleven juniors came to Paxton Lakes today to take part in day one of the 2014 Youth Trophy.  There was training this morning, a quick break for lunch and then four races with coaching this afternoon.  There was very tight racing all the way through the fleet this afternoon with everyone improving their sailing and racing.  Biggest credit has to go to a number of the competitors that have never raced before and some having only completed their stage 2 a few weeks ago.

Racing starts again tomorrow with the first race at 11:00.  If you couldn't make today you can still join in tomorrow.  There will be three main prizes awarded tomorrow 1st Overall, 1st 13 and under and 1st new to racing.  Bobby Martin despite a drop in form for the first 2 races today will be trying hard to retain his title of the last two years, but William Russell and Andy Martin are nipping at his heals.  Charlotte Sharp and Aimee Russell have taken an early lead in the 13 and under category.  Lucy and Helen are tied on points at the head of the new to racing but it is all to play for tomorrow.  Results from day one are here
