I think Gareth really enjoyed himself!!!
Firstly a big thank you to a those who took part in the winter working parties.  They were few but worked hard to keep the club presentable and maintain the best sailing conditions.  However, we lost one day due to bad weather and there are still a number of jobs around the club that need attention.  If you have a bit of spare time why not spend a couple of hours at the club and see if you can cross another job off the list.

The list of outstanding items is on the News page of the webb site.  If you need more instructions drop me a line - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

It is with great sadness that I must report the death of Nigel De Roeck who died suddenly on his way to work on Monday the 11th November.

Nigel was an active member of the club who raced most sundays. He believed there was no better class of dinghy than the Fireball and was happiest at the helm of his own especially when on open water in a good force 4 or more.  He was a fair and generous man always willing to offer help, advice or even a spare bit of boat when needed.

Nigel will be sorely missed by all at the club.  May he rest in peace.

The funeral has been arranged for  Wednesday 27th November, at 1.30pm at Walsworth Road Baptist Church, Hitchin, Herts SG4 9SP, followed by a private committal at Harwood Park Crematorium Chapel at 2.45pm.
Family flowers only, and donations in memory are going both to RSPB (Rye Meads reserve) and RNLI (Stevenage branch).
